Project planning meeting to be held in November

November 21 2019

The PIT Group has moved its annual project planning meeting to the fall to better meet the needs of its partners and FPInnovations. The first fall meeting will take place on November 26 via a web conference. The shift will allow projects to be approved earlier in the year and be ready to start at the beginning of the fiscal year in early April.

A meeting in French will be held at 10 a.m. followed by an English session at 1:30 p.m. Both meetings will kick off with PIT Group news, bringing members up-to-date with new developments since the annual general meeting held in March. High on the agenda for partners will be the results of the 2019 EnergoTest summer and fall campaigns.

Also on the program are other project updates, including the Tire Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) and brake-inspection projects. An overview of current collaborative contracts, including the mandate given by the TMC, will also be presented.

Topics of interest for members will also be the status of forest platooning trials conducted by FPInnovations and its partners and the work being done by PIT Group and its partners on hybrid forestry trailers.

The meeting will conclude with a round-table discussion on new project ideas submitted by the PIT Group staff, partners and collaborators.

An invitation was sent to all partners by email. For more information, please contact Marc Trudeau.
